Updated February 12, 2020 09:15:54Ireland’s national web hosting company, Canva, has released its ranking of Australia’s largest websites in the country’s most popular search terms, according to new data from Google.
In terms of the most searched terms in Ireland, Canvas says that Sydney’s News Corp website is the second-most popular with more than 15 million visitors per month.
The site has a whopping 8.7 million visitors, while its competitor is Melbourne’s News Corporation’s website with 7.4 million.
The rankings show that the news sites on Canva’s website, which is owned by Telstra, beat the competition.
Canva says that its Australian competitors are not far behind with Melbourne’s Fairfax News website ranked sixth with 7 million visitors.
The company also lists Sydney’s The Australian newspaper at number eight with 749,000 visits per month, which places it third in the top ten.
The Australian website also came in at number 10 with 7,715,000 visitors, ahead of Sydney’s Herald Sun newspaper which comes in at second place with 6.7 per cent.
Canvas says it does not disclose how many websites it ranks, but says it has an annual revenue of $150 million.
